NAEYC ACCREDITATION SCHOLARSHIPS are
awarded to Programs
for Young Children primarily on the basis of
financial need and are available to programs seeking
NAEYC Accreditation, ready to engage in self-study, as well as to
programs seeking to maintain their NAEYC Accreditation. NAEYC Accreditation Scholarships
subsidize the fees associated with achieving and maintaining NAEYC Accreditation,
including fees for:
• Enrollment in Self-Study (Step 1)
• Application and Self-Assessment
(Step 2)
• Candidacy (Step 3)
• Annual Reports
Programs may apply for NAEYC
Accreditation Scholarships corresponding with different steps of
the process, but must submit a new application and supporting
documents for each step.
NAEYC The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is
dedicated to improving the well-being of all young children, with
particular focus on the quality of educational and developmental
services for all children from birth through age 8. NAEYC is committed
to becoming an increasingly high performing and inclusive organization.
FLAEYCThe Florida Association for the Education of Young Children (FLAEYC) is
the largest professional organization for people working in the early care and
education field in the state of Florida. The mission of the Florida
Association for the Education of Young Children is to support early childhood
professionals by providing leadership, advocacy, and professional development
opportunities.
SECA The Southern Early Childhood Association (SECA) is committed to improving the quality of care and education for young children and their families through advocacy and professional development.
Pinellas County License Board Our mission is to protect and promote the health, safety, and mental development
of children cared for in children's centers and family child
care homes in Pinellas County.
CCC Coordinated
Child Care of Pinellas, Inc., is a private, not-for-profit corporation designated by the state of Florida
as the Central Agency for School Readiness since 1969.
ELC - Pinellas County The Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is a not for profit
planning and funding agency focused on early care and education. The
goal of the Early Learning Coalition is to prepare all children to enter
kindergarten ready to succeed. Additionally, the Coalition supports
school age children in continuing academic achievement.
Florida Department of Education Their mission is to increase the proficiency of all students within one seamless, efficient
system, by providing them with the opportunity to expand their
knowledge and skills through learning opportunities and research valued
by students, parents, and communities, and to maintain an
accountability system that measures student progress toward the
following goals:
